The team is led by two partners – attorneys Gundars Āboliņš and Jānis Bordāns.
Gundars Āboliņš has been practising as a lawyer since 2001 and as an attorney since 2007. He has previously worked for a number of leading international law offices in the Baltics. The main areas of expertise of Gundars Āboliņš are corporate law, power industry, real property and construction, as well as competition and sports law. The experience of recent years is related also to the highly complex civil proceedings, including voluminous, the so-called raiderism cases.
Jānis Bordāns has been practising as an attorney since 1996. During his work experience of more than 20 years, he has been specialising in commercial law, information and communication technology and intellectual property law, arbitration, as well as he has mastered the integrated mediation knowledge and skills. In addition to the attorney practice, Jānis Bordāns has got work experience also in legal and personnel management in the public sector – he has led the Legal Services of Latvijas Televīzija, he has been the member of the parliament of the Republic of Latvia, he has taken the position of the parliamentary secretary and advisor of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Latvia, as well as during the period from 2012 until 2014 he was the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Latvia.
